REGISTRATION GUIDELINES
- We offer summer school core courses to all eligible Alberta students 19 years of age or younger, as of September 1 of the current school year.
- Only one core course may be completed in summer term between both the Module-Based program and the Classroom-Based program.
- Students can enroll in a maximum of 10 credits at Black Gold Summer School in the summer term. Students can enroll in Career and Life Management OR Physical Education 10 in addition to another core course in the summer term. If students are NOT registering in a core course, they may enroll in both Career and Life Management AND Physical Education 10.
- Students must have achieved a minimum of 50% in the prerequisite course. Grades will be verified after June mark submission.
ONLINE REGISTRATION FORMS WILL BE LIVE ON SATURDAY, APRIL 26, 2025 AT 9:00 A.M.
Black Gold Students
Instructions:
- Sign in to your PowerSchool Parent Portal. If you do not have a PowerSchool Parent Portal account, please contact your child’s school to get set up.
- Click on “Student Fees & Forms” half way down on the left navigation panel.
- Click on your student’s name tab at the top left of the screen.
- Select the form at the bottom of the screen that coincides with the course your student would like to attend. These forms will be live on Saturday, April 26, 2025 at 9:00 a.m.
- Follow the instructions to complete the form. Note that you will need to input your child's Black Gold email address on this form.
- Click on “submit”, and pay any applicable fees in the cart. Registrations are not complete until the program fee has been paid and you have received your payment receipt.

Non-Black Gold Students - CLOSED
Before an Out-of-District student can register for a Black Gold Summer School course, a parent must create a Black Gold Power School account and complete an enrollment form.
Instructions:
- Click on the LINK to start the enrollment process: Non-Black Gold Student Enrollment. Create an account.
- Once your account is created, log in with the username and password you just chose.
- Complete and submit the enrollment form.
- When our office processes your enrollment form, you will receive a Parent Access ID and Password and a Student Email, Username and Password by email. This will allow you to use the Black Gold PowerSchool Parent Portal. The time frame for processing new enrollments is up to one week.
- Once you have received these Black Gold ID’s and passwords, you can register your child for a summer school course(starting April 26th at 9:00 am)by following the instructions for Black Gold students to the left.
